We Aeronauts release the first taste of their forthcoming album on the 26th December 2014. 'Boxing Day' is a sad, sparkling lament perfect for the post-Christmas lull, with a roaring fire and presents all around.
Written four years ago to the day, the track brings to mind desolate towns and warm winters inside as the cold dwells on the threshold. The band have been squirrelled away for the past year developing their debut album and 'Boxing Day' is the first fruit from the tree.
It's been seven years since they formed, and the album contains songs written across that period. Championed by Colin Greenwood, who selected them for his Independent Venue Week lineup in January 2014, We Aeronauts rallied together and finally went into the studio with acclaimed producer Richard Neuberg (Viarosa, Ed Laurie) to set the album to tape.
Previous radio support from: BBC Oxford Introducing, Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson, Annie Nightingale.
We Aeronauts have shared stages with: Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn, Jeffrey Lewis, Okkervil River, Allo Darlin'.
We Aeronauts have appeared at: Green Man, Truck, Wilderness, Woolfire, Standon Calling and Iceland Airwaves.
